Mohegan Digital has officially launched an online sportsbook in Pennsylvania, expanding its Mohegan Pennsylvania Online Casino app and website to include a full lineup of sports betting options. Anyone 21 and over located in the state — whether resident or visitor — can now place bets on a wide range of sports, including football, basketball, MMA, and more.
Users can find the sportsbook under the Sports tab on the app or desktop site. For first-time users, there’s a welcome offer: a $100 bonus bet after placing a $5 wager at minimum odds of -250.
This marks another step forward for Mohegan Digital’s growing online presence. “We’re really excited about this latest rollout,” said Mohegan Digital President Rich Roberts. “It reflects our focus on innovation, guest service, and delivering top-tier gaming.”
Sportsbook Features: Betting Variety for Casual and Hardcore Fans
For the average online bettor, the platform offers more than just the big-name leagues. In addition to staples like the NFL, NBA, and NHL, players can also bet on niche sports like darts, rugby, lacrosse, and even the Winter Olympics.
College basketball futures are live too, with Purdue leading the odds for the NCAA Men’s Championship at +900. The site supports spread betting, moneylines, player props, teasers, and single-game wagers, catering to a wide mix of betting styles.
While the online sportsbook is fresh, Mohegan Pennsylvania already operates a physical sportsbook on-site in Wilkes Barre. It features a high-definition video wall, lounge seating, self-service kiosks, and full food and drink service — a solid option for locals or those who prefer in-person betting.
Leadership Shift: Mohegan CEO to Step Down in December
As the digital arm expands, Mohegan’s leadership is preparing for a transition. President and CEO Ray Pineault announced he will step down on December 28 after nearly 25 years with the Tribe.
Pineault has played a key role in shaping Mohegan’s growth, especially during the post-pandemic rebound and digital pivot. Originally joining the Tribe as a senior attorney in 2001, he moved up through the ranks, later serving as COO and overseeing operations at Mohegan Sun.
“With the company well-positioned, especially in online gaming, the time is right for me to focus on my family,” said Pineault in a statement.
The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority is currently working on a smooth transition. Tribal Council chairman James Gessner Jr. praised Pineault’s leadership, acknowledging the personal sacrifices he made for the betterment of the Tribe and Mohegan employees.
More Choice for Players
For online casino players in Pennsylvania, this launch adds another legal and regulated option for sports betting. It’s easy to access via the existing Mohegan PA Casino app, making it a one-stop-shop for both slots and sports. The $100 bonus bet gives newcomers a low-risk entry point, especially appealing for casual bettors curious about trying out sports wagering without a big upfront investment.
With online gaming becoming a key part of Mohegan’s future — even amid leadership changes — Pennsylvania players can expect continued focus on user-friendly features and broader sports markets.
