Austrian online gambling operator Interwetten has announced that it has strengthened its position in the Greek market by entering into a deal with the Greek Super League, the top level of football in Greece, that will see it become the league’s official sports betting partner for the 2019-20 season.
In terms of the deal signed by the parties, the sports betting provider will gain a vast presence in all stadiums, including LED band sequences, micro-surfaces at press conferences, ball platforms as well as logo presence on flash interview boards. The company also has the opportunity to take advantage of digital integrations with Greek Super League channels and a hospitality package for every league match.
Interwetten is endeavoring to bolster its reach to fans from all Super League teams with the partnership and help generate a national presence in the market.
Dominik Beier, the Chief Executive Officer at Interwetten, commented on the new deal by saying that Greece is and will remain a very important market for them.
Beier went on to say that this is why they want to continue to invest in the sport there and expand their position. He added that the Super League is an ideal partner in this respect thanks to its national and weekly presence.
He also said that it opens up a multitude of communication and activation opportunities for them throughout the country.
The new deal follows the announcement in August that Interwetten would sponsor Greek Super League team Asteras Tripolis. It was also revealed in August that the company would sponsor Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg.
