UK Green Light Gives Digitain a New Launchpad
The Armenian-born iGaming supplier has clinched a UK licence covering real and virtual sports betting, along with full platform certification. That means UK-licensed operators can now plug into Digitain’s sportsbook and platform—built to handle heavy traffic, tight regulation, and the relentless demands of compliance watchdogs.
Vardges Vardanyan, founder of the Digitain Group, called the approval a “huge milestone” to kick off the year. “Meeting UK standards is a strong endorsement of our technology and operational maturity,” he said. “It lets us support local operators with scalable, future-ready solutions that hold up in regulated markets.”
Compliance, Then Scale
Digitain’s latest move reinforces its stance as a compliance-first supplier. Arshak Muradyan, the group’s chief compliance officer, framed the licence win as “clear validation” that Digitain’s systems and governance meet the UK’s need for strict oversight and transparency.
And it’s not just about ticking boxes. The company has been pouring resources into its risk frameworks and infrastructure, all part of a bigger plan to attract regulated-market clients who can’t afford weak links in their tech stack.
Europe in Sight: Malta, Isle of Man, and Now the UK
This UK approval didn’t come out of nowhere. It follows a recently awarded iGaming software supplier licence from the Isle of Man and last summer’s launch of a new HQ in Malta, led by CEO Aida Vardanyan. That move put Digitain squarely on the map in two of Europe’s heavyweight regulatory hubs. Now, with the UK in its pocket, it’s clearly aiming for top-tier status among platform providers.
For UK operators, the pitch is simple: plug into a sportsbook and platform that’s already up to code, and built for high-volume action. For Digitain, the licence isn’t just a badge—it’s a ticket to compete where the stakes are highest.
