Austria’s lone licensed online casino is freshening up its lobby after win2day struck a content partnership with Blueprint Gaming.
What Players Will See First
The first wave of games heading onto win2day includes familiar Blueprint titles like Eye of Horus and Cash Strike. For everyday players, it’s a simple win: more branded, “been-there-everywhere” slot content on a platform that can’t exactly lean on dozens of rival casinos to keep things interesting.
Why This Austria Launch Matters For Blueprint
Blueprint already supplies plenty of regulated European markets, with licences covering key territories such as the UK, Germany, and Italy. This agreement is different because Austria is still one of Europe’s rare “single-operator” online casino setups, where win2day is the only fully licensed option.
Samuel Haggblom, Blueprint Gaming’s Director of Business Development, framed the move as a major step in the studio’s European expansion plans, saying the win2day platform “sets the standard for quality and responsibility” and that more releases are planned after the initial rollout.
Win2day’s Pitch: Bigger Catalogue, Same Compliance Line
win2day Managing Director Georg Wawer said the operator is bringing in an internationally recognised studio known for strong brands and high production values, while repeating the familiar promise of secure, compliant entertainment for Austrian players. That compliance angle matters more in Austria than most places: when there’s only one legal online casino, the bar for “we do this properly” is basically the whole brand.
The Business Backdrop
Casinos Austria operates win2day and oversees the wider gaming market in the country. In its latest financial reporting, the group posted €1.6bn in revenue for 2024, a 7.4% rise from €1.48bn in 2023, and pointed to online gaming growth via win2day as a key driver.
Extra Context: Blueprint Keeps Building Its Commercial Bench
Away from the Austria launch, Blueprint has also been tightening up on the commercial side. The supplier recently appointed Mattia Luchesini as Head of Account Management – International, tasked with leading international account management and growing operator partnerships.
