Kambi Group has signed a long-term agreement to provide its turnkey sportsbook to SuomiVeto in Finland’s new regulated iGaming market. SuomiVeto is led by the founders of BetCity, which previously partnered with Kambi ahead of the launch of the Netherlands’ regulated market in 2021. Kambi’s end-to-end sportsbook will power SuomiVeto’s launch next year with a package that includes its sportsbook platform and advanced pricing and trading services.
Kambi chief executive Werner Becher said the company is delighted to partner with SuomiVeto ahead of Finland’s market launch, adding that SuomiVeto’s team has already demonstrated its ability to build a market-leading brand with BetCity and that Kambi expects to help replicate that success in Finland.
SuomiVeto co-founder Melvin Bostelaar said the business wanted to work with a “true market leader” and described Kambi’s technology, expertise and operational excellence as instrumental to BetCity’s rapid growth. He said SuomiVeto’s ambition is to become one of Finland’s leading sportsbooks, and that Kambi’s turnkey sportsbook, combined with SuomiVeto’s marketing strategy, will support that goal from day one.
Co-founder Joey Singels said the previous collaboration with Kambi in the Netherlands showed the value of working with a best-in-class sportsbook partner, and that Kambi’s technology, trading expertise and regulated-market experience provide the foundation to build a differentiated sportsbook offering in Finland.
SuomiVeto’s wider platform build-out
The SuomiVeto announcement follows another recent technology partnership, with Bragg Gaming agreeing a deal last month to provide its player account management platform to SuomiVeto. Taken together, the deals indicate SuomiVeto is assembling the core components needed for launch, combining Kambi’s sportsbook offering with a separate PAM layer to support account and player operations.
Kambi completes Ontario Lottery and Gaming transition after novation agreement
Separately, Kambi has completed a novation agreement with FDJ Gaming Solutions France and Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, officially assuming the role of sportsbook provider for OLG. Under this arrangement, Kambi is contractually responsible for OLG’s multi-channel sports betting operations across online and retail platforms.
OLG launched its Kambi-powered sportsbook on 27 January, marking the formal start of the new partnership. Kambi is now supplying sports betting services supported by its Turnkey Sportsbook technology to OLG’s PROLINE brand in physical stores and PROLINE+ online.
OLG returns 100 per cent of its profits to the province of Ontario, and the update states that this arrangement continues under the new sportsbook set-up. Kambi chief executive Werner Becher said Kambi is pleased to have completed the transition and to begin the next chapter of its partnership with OLG, describing the launch as the start of work with one of the world’s most respected lottery operators.
Kambi highlights broader sportsbook and esports capabilities
Kambi also pointed to its wider suite of betting solutions, which includes Turnkey Sportsbook, Odds Feed+, Managed Trading, Bet Builder, and esports products. The company operates a dedicated esports vertical under the Kambi Esports brand, powered by its esports subsidiary Abios. The product covers major esports titles including Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, VALORANT and Dota 2, and provides odds, data, widgets and live content, along with features such as player props, instant betting and same-game bet builders. Through Abios, Kambi also provides esports data feeds and always-on esports content, including esoccer and ebasketball, to its partner network.
